RE: Cooperate with other Blindness Organizations
We hereby resolve to work with any and all organizations of and for the blind, to better enhance the welfare and wellbeing of all visually handicapped persons
RE: Informing the Public
We resolve that the President of the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska, be charged with and authorized to have the necessary funds at his disposal for the purpose of informing the general public, through any communication media that deems necessary or productive to accomplish this goal.
RE: Concern over the Philosophy of Nebraska Services for the Visually Impaired
Whereas, the present philosophy of the Services for the Visually Impaired of Nebraska has been inconsistent, uncooperative, discriminatory and, apathetic towards the clients they are serving,
In view of these facts we, as a blind organization, feel that this is a reflection of the past and present leadership of the Services for the Visually Impaired.
RE: Appointment of James Nyman as Director of Nebraska Services for the Visually Impaired
We the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska in convention assembled this 18th day of May 1974 in the city of Lincoln do here by: approve and applaud the decision leading to the naming of a new director of the Vocational Rehabilitation State Services for the Visually Impaired, and,

RE: Protest of the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving the Blind and Visually Handicapped
WHEREAS, the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving the Blind and Visually Handicapped (here after referred to as NAC) currently holds it’s self out as the dually authorized agency for organizations serving the blind; and,
WHEREAS, NAC has continuously refused to allow the organized blind representation on it’s board of directors and,
WHEREAS, NAC will be holding it’s board meeting in Cincinnati Ohio May 31st and,

WHEREAS, The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska believes that the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped plays a paramount role in the lives of blind people, and,
WHEREAS, we believe that library services should strive to meet the reading, informational and, particular library needs of its consumers, and,
WHEREAS, the Nebraska Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is currently administered by the Library Commission, whose power it is to establish procedures and formulate policies, and,

WHEREAS, from all indications it is apparent that the Department of Public Institutions, Division of the Rehabilitation Services for the Visually Impaired had been willing to take a stand on L.B. 661 in the past session of the Unicameral, that stand, we feel sure, would have supported the stand of consumer groups of the blind , and,
