 y in Shelter 2. </p>\n \n <p>The best way to get t
 here is to turn off 156th Street at the Lake Zorin
 sky Aquatic Center at 3808 South 156th Street. Thi
 s is the road that will take you to Shelter 2.  Sh
 elter 2 is located about 30 feet southwest from th
 e parking lot towards the lake between Shelter 1 a
 nd 3.</p>\n \n <p>Food and drinks will be provided
 .</p>\n \n <h2>Explanation of Terms</h2>\n \n <p>M
 ost people who have low vision are not totally bli
 nd\, but for the sake of simplicity we will use th
 e term Blind as a catch all for everyone who is vi
 sually impaired.  </p>\n \n <h2>Objective</h2>\n \
 n <p>The NFB wants all Blind people to live the li
 fe they want.  What living the life you want means
  will be one of the discovery themes of this event
 .  Meeting other Blind people is hard.  Isolation 
 and lack of knowledge on how to cope with life as 
 a Blind person is a constant problem for many Blin
 d people.</p>\n \n <p>This event is designed for f
 ellow Blind Omahans to come together and share the
 ir own knowledge and experiences of how to live th
 e life they want.  We want to share best practices
  on successfully living your life as a Blind perso
 n. </p>\n \n <h2>Areas of Expertise</h2>\n \n <p>W
 e will have three areas of expertise that people c
 an explore.</p>\n \n <h3>Technology</h3>\n \n <p>W
 hat devices and applications work the best for Bli
 nd people? We will have hands-on demonstrations of
  using technology as a Blind person.</p>\n \n <h3>
 Live the Life You Want</h3>\n \n <p>Everything you
  always wanted to know about enjoying life as a Bl
 ind person.  What services and programs are availa
 ble in Omaha for Blind people.  We will have a con
 tact and resource list available of these services
  and programs.</p>\n \n <h3>NFB Table</h3>\n \n <p
 >There is an old proverb that is attributed to the
  Chinese that “may you live in interesting times”.
   There has never been a time where so many things
  that Blind people take for granted are under assa
 ult.  It is important for Blind people to know wha
 t is happening\, and what they can do to advocate 
 for their rights.  This  area will be for you to f
 ind out what the NFB is\, what it can do for you\,
  and what you can do as a Blind person to speak to
  authority.</p>\n \n <p>Hopefully you can attend t
