Nebraska Association of Blind Students

Who We Are

The Nebraska Association of Blind Students (NEABS) is an organization devoted to helping blind students reach their educational goals and forge meaningful connections with other students. We can help students obtain educational materials as well as assist them in finding solutions to problems that they encounter in the classroom. Additionally, we plan to host a variety of fun and engaging events. NEABS is a division of the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska, who we work closely with to ensure equality for the blind.

Leadership

These are the current board members for the 2025-26 term. Board members are elected at our anual business meeting at the State Convention.

President: Lucas Griess
Vice President: Benjamin Grelk
Secretary: Hay Paw
Treasurer: Zadin Haack
Member at Large: Ty Schaefer

Scholarships

All eligible students are encouraged to apply for both the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Scholarship and the NFB of Nebraska Scholarship. These programs both empower blind students to live the lives they want.
